Where Should I Submit My Letters of Recommendation?

This is also different from college to college.  Some colleges (especially community colleges) will accept general recommendation letters from the common application.  The majority will require sealed letters that are included in the application package you mail in.  Each letter should be placed in an envelope, which should then be sealed and signed by the recommender over the seal.  Some colleges will expect specifically tailored letters to be mailed to admissions directly by the teacher.  Recently, many schools will want your teacher to submit them electronically through an internal form on their school’s website to prove that the letter is official.  Be sure to read the application instructions carefully to avoid any mishaps.
